Must have veggie dumplings at Japanese eatery Ryujin (Williamsburg)

It’s rare that I say every dish on a menu is delicious but that’s truly the case at Ryujin. This Japanese restaurant ticks all the boxes for me from friendly service to outstanding menu options.

I suggest the Karage (fried chicken) which is lately breaded and fried to perfection, the savory veggie dumplings or the spicy tan tan ramen.

The ramen broths have layers of flavor that fill your soul with warmth and perfect for the fall/winter season. During the summer you can dive into the rice section of the menu which has several different curry options to choose from. I’ve downed 4 small bowls of $3 miso soup in one sitting with no shame. The portions of the regular sized ramen is quite large as I have split bowls between a date in the past. The photo below is actual of a ramen order split into two.

(They might not do it for everybody and please don’t go there saying Brunch God told me to split an order. It can be very annoying and time consuming for a chef to do.)
